Personal Mission Statement

To continuously excel at the service of the Department by exceeding expectations and leveraging on my expertise and experience acquired over the years. To remain honest, industrious and committed to the work, whilst promoting an environment of team work.
Profile I have studied and work in Singapore, a country where I have lived for 10 years (4 years of studies and 6 years of working). I returned back to Mauritius in 1998 and took employment in the Private Sector before joining the Civil Service in 2003. Since then, my services has been put to several governmental departments before being appointed as Chairman to drive the Mauritian Prime Minister’s vision for a sustainable island forward.

• Site Engineer and subsequently Resident Engineer on 3 building projects worth a total of more than US$ 100 million.
• Site Engineer on 4 minor marine offshore construction, dredging and reclamation projects.
• Resident and Design Engineer on several projects both in the private sector and the public sector.
• Advisor in technical matters to two Ministers
• Investment promotion in Mauritius
• Major Governmental projects like;
(i) Land Based Oceanic Industry Project (now termed as Eco Park based on Sea Water Air Conditioning at Flic en Flac) – (US$ 150 million)
(ii) LAVIMS (Land Administration Valuation Information and Management system) – (US$ 18 million)
