NATION BUILDING ACTIVITIES.
Building cordial relationships with Foreign Diplomatic Missions established in Mauritius is one goal set by Alif Society. Our aim is to add the support of the Civic Society to the official stand of our country and when the need is felt, to add our own opinions on matters that affect the Nation or part of the Nation. We organize civic receptions of newly appointed Heads of Missions and include them in the guest list of our functions.
We have welcomed three High Commissioners of the Republic of South Africa over dinners, the last one being Mr. Matabane.
Alif sends messages of good wishes on occasions important to South Africa.
